Gilding is a process over four thousand years old and the techniques and equipment Gillian uses to gild clock numerals, a cockerel or weathervane have barely changed in the last four hundred years. She was instructed by one of the leading gilders in the country and has undertaken various commissions for local Churches, the National Trust and individuals.
