About Us

Centreline Architectural Sculpture was established in the Cotswolds in 1999 by Mark Hancock. He trained as a stonemason with Historic Scotland then took a second apprenticeship in stone and wood carving while working at York Minster. As part of his training he studied sculpture and life drawing at York College of Art.

Mark is regularly asked to act as a stone consultant for both new build and historic buildings having a thorough understanding of vernacular building practices together with an expert knowledge of current building conservation techniques.

Centreline often consulted for practical advice by owners and custodians of historic buildings, large and small and is proud of its reputation for providing an honest answer which can sometimes be ‘leave well alone’. Saving buildings for future generations is paramount.

We offer a full design, manufacture and installation service for all our sculptures and masonry. Mark can produce traditional and CAD drawings if required for your project.
